SEO/BirdLife is the Spanish Society of Ornithology, a scientific and conservation association founded in 1954 dedicated to the study and conservation of birds and nature. It is the oldest non-governmental organization nature conservation in Spain, with 60 years of uninterrupted activity. It is a registered as non profit and public utility organization and has received, among many others, the National Environmental Award (1994) and the BBVA Award for Biodiversity Conservation (2004).

 

Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) was created in 1912 and today is the first nature protection association in France. Recognized as a public utility since 1986 works for the protection of species, conservation and spaces for education and environmental awareness. He is the official partner of the BirdLife International network in France.

 

 

Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli (LIPU) is the association for the conservation of nature, protection of biodiversity and the promotion of ecological culture in Italy. Lipu is a reference point for the defense of nature in Italy; Every year it treats more than 15,000 endangered wild animals in a number of recovery and first aid centers in various parts of Italy. We manage 30 Oasis and reserves where nature is protected and people can visit, meet, fall in love.

 

 

 

BirdLife Malta is a non-governmental organization working to conserve birds and their habitats in the Maltese Islands. The mission of BirdLife Malta is to conserve wild birds, their habitats and biodiversity, working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources. For more than 50 years, BirdLife Malta has been an advocate for the protection of Maltese wildlife. We engage Maltese people in their natural environment, and ensure a natural legacy is left for the next generation. Established in 1962, BirdLife Malta is the oldest environmental NGO in Malta and the primary objective of conserving birds and habitats is achieved through our work in a variety of fields including research, education and campaigning.

 

 

The Hellenic Ornithological Society (HOS) is a non governmental conservation organisation focusing on the study and protection of wild birds and their habitats, as integral elements of Greek Nature. Since 1982 we strive to safeguard a sustainable environment where birds and people may live in harmony. We study and protect wild birds, work towards the conservation of Important Bird Areas in Greece, raise public awareness, enhance environmental education, as well as advocate and intervene in environmental policy. HOS is a partner of BirdLife International, the largest global partnership for the conservation of wild birds and their habitats.
